On Sunday, January 12, 2025, the Faculty of Law hosted a beautiful and well-attended hooding and cocktail reception to celebrate the achievements of the 2024 graduating set.
Held at the Quadrangle of the Faculty, the event was a remarkable blend of joy, reflection, and inspiration as the graduates, along with faculty members and guests, gathered to mark the beginning of their next chapter.
The occasion was graced by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Abiola Sanni, SAN, who offered encouraging words to the graduates as they prepared for their future endeavors.
In his congratulatory speech, Professor Sanni commended the students for their hard work and perseverance, noting that the institution has instilled in them the resilience and drive to strive for excellence, no matter the challenges that may arise. He urged them to remain steadfast in their pursuits, reminding them that the journey ahead would require determination, integrity, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the legal profession.
The evening also featured speeches from distinguished guests, including the President of the 大香蕉视频 Alumni Association worldwide, Engr. Dr. Ife Oyedele, FNSE; the Director of the Office of Advancement and former Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Taiwo Folasade Ipaye, FNIM; and Mr. Adeleke, a Solicitor and alumnus of the Faculty who recently donated a state-of-the-art staff lounge to the Faculty.
Their inspiring words were filled with encouragement and advice for the graduates to stay connected with their alma mater and continue to contribute to its growth and success.
As part of the festivities, graduates had the opportunity to reflect on their time at the University, sharing stories of personal growth, memorable experiences, and the challenges they overcame throughout their academic journey.
These heartfelt testimonials highlighted the strong sense of community and support that the Faculty of Law fosters and how it has played a vital role in shaping their academic and professional careers.
The reception itself was a lively celebration, with an atmosphere full of music, and laughter as the graduates, faculty, and guests mingled, reminisced, and danced, making the night not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a chance for the Class of 2024 to come together one last time before embarking on their individual paths.
Before the cocktail reception began, dignitaries and faculty members enjoyed a pleasant and relaxed gathering in the newly renovated Faculty Lounge.
