The Provost, College of Medicine, ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ, Professor David Adewale Oke has been appointed as a Member, National Tertiary Health Institutions Standard Committee.
According to Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Dr Osagie E. Ehanire, Dr. Oke is to represent the Southwest on the committee.
The Vice-Chancellor, ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS on behalf of the management, staff and students of the University, congratulates Professor David Adewale Oke on his new appointment.
While describing the appointment as a recognition of Prof. Oke’s contributions to scholarship and medical education in Nigeria, Prof. Ogundipe noted that the appointment of Prof. Oke is a positive development which would bring more glory to the name and image of the ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ as a foremost tertiary institution for training of Medical Specialists in Nigeria.
He prays and wishes Prof. Oke success in his task as a Member of the National Tertiary Health Institutions Standard Committee.
The National Tertiary Health Institutions Standard Committee under the Federal Ministry of Health, is mandated by the National Health Act, 2014, to ensure standardisation of tertiary health institutions in Nigeria and ensure that Nigerians get quality healthcare services at the institutions.
