Rhema Joseph Ahonsi of the Department of Creative Arts, Faculty of Art, ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ emerged ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Mr. JAMBITE while Akwuobi Genevieve Chinaecherem of the Science and Technology Department, Faculty of Education won the crown of ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Miss JAMBITE.
The contest, which took place on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium of the university, was part of activities lined up to acclimatise the Freshmen with their new environment, and to promote social interactions among them. Mr. Michael Oladimeji-Lamu, the organiser and Acting Manager of ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Radio, disclosed that.
The MR. & MISS. ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ JAMBITE contest held under the auspices of the Students’ Affairs Division with a view to engendering a healthy competitive spirit among the student population.
The J.F. Ade-Ajayi Main Auditorium was filled to capacity, as the contestants thrilled their frenzied audience with their fashion and pageantry prowess.
In her remarks, a friend of the University and Philanthropist, Engr. Dr Funmi Yinka, charged the students to see their admission into the ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ as a call beyond academics. While buttressing the need to meet the expectation of their parents, family members, sponsors and well-wishers in their academic pursuits, the Music Record Label also implored the students to reach and explore their innate abilities, just as they pursue their academics.
