It was an avalanche of praises and commendations for the 12th Vice-Chancellor, 㽶Ƶ; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, as his biography; ‘‘Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe at 60: Audacity of Resilience’’ was unveiled.
The event which held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the J. F. Ade-Ajayi Main Auditorium of the university was graced by a crème-de-la-crème across all walks of life who all turned up to celebrate Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe’s leadership prowess and his impacts on humanity, people, institutions and his immediate environment as epitomized by the biography.
In his goodwill message, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu congratulated Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe adjudging him a man who rose through thick and thin, fought through challenges and waded through difficult storms to succeed.
While acknowledging the audacious tendencies of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe as typified in the title of the book, the Lagos State helmsman who also wrote the Forward of the biography took time to commend the celebrant especially for his milestones in the promotion of academic research as well as his feat as winner of the highest volume of awards and grants in the history of the 㽶Ƶ.
The book titled “Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe at 60: Audacity of Resilience” and the professional trajectory of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, according to Gov. Sanwo-Olu, underscores the indispensability of audacity in responding to National issues.
He used the avenue to commend the National Universities Commission’s recent approval to upgrade the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu campus into a University of Science and Technology and the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education with the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education into a University of Education, noting that the two new universities are meant to address the ever-increasing demands for tertiary education by the teeming Senior Secondary School leavers across Lagos state and beyond.
In their separate remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Mr Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, and the Pro-Chancellor, 㽶Ƶ who was also the Chief Host; Distinguished Senator Prince Dr. Lanre Tejuoso took turns to congratulate Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe on the Biography describing it as a story well told and a clarion call on the Nigerian youths to cultivate the right values which would help reposition Nigeria on the path of all-round recovery.
Speaking on behalf of the Editorial Team, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services; Professor Lucian Obinna-Chukwu who led the Editorial Team said the Biography: Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe at 60: Audacity of Resilience catalogues the sojourn of the subject, his successes, his audacity and resilience especially as told by his mentees and professional affiliates.
While extolling Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe for his virtues of hardwork, honesty, fervency, selflessness and commitment to positive courses, Prof. Chukwu said the book preaches focus, determination, steadfastness, audacity and resilience as essential virtues in leadership.

Highpoint of the well attended event was the formal unveiling of the book by the Chief Launcher; Engineer Remi Oseni assisted by other dignitaries.
In his brief remarks, the celebrant, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS was full of gratitude to the editorial team for the justice done to the themes discussed in the book.
While appreciating everyone who converged to identify with him on the public presentation, Prof. Ogundipe ascribed every success attributed to him to God who has been his cornerstone right from the get-go.
