´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Staff School Rolls Out the Drum to Celebrate Its 2022 Graduating Pupils

The Headmistress of the ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Staff School, Dr. (Mrs) J.A Ajayi has admonished the 2022 graduating class to maintain the good character they have built overtime and resist the temptation to be influenced wrongly by peers as they sojourn into secondary education.

She gave the admonition at the school’s annual graduation ceremony which was held inside the Tolu Odugbemi Hall of the ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ. The visibly elated headmistress described the ceremony as a special occasion that forms the culmination of years of hardwork, actualization of goals attained and acknowledgement of the success achieved particularly with the students in the last six years. 

She remarked that it was a moment of celebration for the respective families especially parents who had the task of further molding the character of their children and wards. According to her Â´I believe that parents must remain committed to ensuring that their wards remain good ambassadors of the school’. 

Dr. Ajayi also advised the pupils to abstain from vices such as the use of hard drugs; cultism, internet fraud which could jeopardize their future. While paying glowing tributes to former students of the schools including the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ Governing Council, Prince (Dr). Lanre Tejuosho; International Business Guru, Mr. Femi Otedola and Female Music Sensation, Tiwa Savage who have successfully impacted the society in their respective areas of endeavor, she admonished the graduating pupils to have worthy mentors that can serve as their role models. 

She lauded the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS the school management team, as well as members of the University Union whom she described as the key players in ensuring the success of the event.

In his remarks, the Chairman Board of Governors and the current Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Monday Ubangha counselled the graduating pupils to remain dutiful. He underscored the need for them to remain focused with a life strategic plan. While corroborating the assertions of the Headmistress, Prof. Ubangha stressed the importance of primary education as the foundation of future success. 

Other speakers at the event including wife of the Vice-Chancellor, Mrs. Oluwaseun Ogundipe, who was ably represented by Mrs. Familoni, as well as Dr. Adebayo urged the graduating pupils to be focused, resist peer pressure, keep theirheads straight, and flee from vices that could truncate their future. 

The pupils who were beautifully dressed smiled with excitement as they mounted the rostrum one after another to receive their school-leaving testimonials, and individual awards of excellence.
