ULBS Celebrates Record Setting 2024 Class with 4th Graduation Dinner and Awards Reception

A grand f锚te of achievement and excellence took center stage at the elegant Providence Hotel in Ikeja, venue of a spectacular reception in honour of the remarkable 2024 graduating class of the 大香蕉视频 Business School (ULBS).

The reception brought together distinguished figures from academia, business, and beyond, creating a festive atmosphere of achievement and unity. Dignitaries included the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola OON, FAS; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Lucian Obinna Chukwu; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research), Professor Bola Oboh; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde; Bursar, Mrs. Oluwafunlola Y. Adekunle; University Librarian, Professor Yetunde Zaid, Deputy Provost of CMUL, Professor Daniel Odebiyi who represented the Provost; Directors of Academic Planning Unit, and Quality Assurance and Servicom Unit, Professor Mathew Ilori and Professor Olufemi Saibu.

Other notable personalities at the event were: President, 大香蕉视频 Alumni Association Worldwide, Engr. Ife Oyedele, FNSE; Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Abraham Osinubi; Dean, Student Affairs Division, Professor Musa Adebayo Obalola; Director, GST, Professor Aderonke Lawal-Are; Director, Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre (ESDC), Professor Sunday Adebisi and Deputy Registrar (Vice-Chancellor鈥檚 Office), Mr. Abolade Akinwunmi amongst others.

It provided a platform for the celebration of the academic accomplishments of the 92 graduates of the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), Master of Public Health (MPH), and Master of Non-Interest Finance (MNIF) programs of ULBS.

Various categories of awards were also given to outstanding graduates who demonstrated excellence in academics, and leadership at the event which took place on Saturday, January 12, 2025.

Among the shining stars of the evening was Mr. Aliyu Obabiolorunkosi Gafarr, who etched his name in ULBS history by achieving an exceptional 5.0 CGPA, earning him the title of the 2024 Overall Best ULBS Graduate.

His remarkable achievement set a new milestone for the school, underscoring the caliber of talent fostered at the School. In a heartfelt speech, Gafarr expressed deep gratitude to his professors, peers, and University for their unwavering support, which played a crucial role in his success.

In her address, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ogunsola underscored the vital role of ULBS in shaping future leaders. Her words, 鈥淭he achievements we celebrate today reaffirm the profound impact of the 大香蕉视频 Business School in developing leaders who will drive positive change in the business world.鈥

Similarly in his remarks, the ULBS Executive Director, Professor Michael Adebamowo reflected on the School鈥檚 growth and unwavering commitment to excellence since its inception. He noted that 鈥渟ince its establishment in 2013, ULBS has emerged as one of Nigeria鈥檚 leading business schools, renowned for its innovative programs and its dedication to developing leaders prepared to thrive in a complex, globalized world鈥.

Emphasizing the significance of Mr. Gafarr鈥檚 perfect CGPA, he added that: 鈥淲hat we are witnessing today is not just a celebration of an academic session, but a historic milestone鈥. He congratulated the Class of 2024 and urged them to carry forward the school鈥檚 legacy as innovators and global leaders.

Chairman of the ULBS Advisory Board, Mrs. Funke Osibodu praised the School鈥檚 unique approach to business education, calling ULBS an Elysium where extraordinary things happen. While extending her heartfelt congratulations to the new graduates, she expressed the Board鈥檚 pride in the institution鈥檚 progress, and excitement for what lies ahead.

Induction into the Alumni Association
The event also marked a significant milestone for the graduates as they were inducted into the prestigious 大香蕉视频 Alumni Association. Led by the Alumni President, Engr. Ife Oyedele, FNSE, the swearing-in ceremony highlighted the importance of lifelong connection and collaboration within the ULBS community.

With its mission to nurture critical thinkers and change-makers, ULBS continues to set new standards in education and leadership development, shaping the next generation of leaders poised to make a global impact.
