The ´óÏ㽶ÊÓƵ will partner with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Ltd on the efficient delivery of power supply to the campus. That is the outcome of a meeting between the leadership of both institutions at the office of the Vice-Chancellor on Monday, May 24, 2021.
Officials of the NDPHC were led to the meeting by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chiedu Ugbo, an alumnus of the university. Mr Ugbo disclosed that their mission to the university was to access the current situation of things and to explore opportunities for the delivery of efficient power supply at a non-commercial rate to the university.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ogundipe, FAS, expressed immense gratitude to the company and to its management. He recounted the myriad of challenges that confront the university in the course of discharging its mandate but reiterated the determination of his leadership to continue to think out of the box and embrace collaborative solutions such as this.
